Hit the halfway mark with an adventure. A 3‐course whisky dinner, where Porta specially pairs Executive Chef Alex Phan’s creative signatures with a range of Glaswegian Scotch expressions – uniquely, completely triple distilled helmed by Auchentoshan’s brand ambassador Jamey Merkel.
The evening begins with The Auchentoshan 12 Year-Old Single Malt, paired with Home‐smoked Trout in Thai lime and Granny Smith apple. The zesty ingredients enhance notes of toasted almonds and caramelised toffee in the whisky. A perfect start of an unspoken promise to a memorable night.
The next course unleashes the adventurous side of the gourmand. The Auchentoshan 18 Year-Old Single Malt matured in American bourbon oak is paired with a Dish of the Forest. Sous‐vide tender pigeon, with earthy beet and grainy quinoa, is the perfect marriage to the whisky’s refined notes of ripe citrus and green tea.
Aimed to satiate the gourmand, the final course showcases The Auchentoshan Three Wood Single Malt that is matured in 3 different casks, from American bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. Enjoy this best-selling whisky paired with Porta’s home‐baked thyme cookie with blackberry compote, fresh whole blackberries and aged balsamic.
